Back from the City + A Few Summer Favorites
Back home from New York and back to reality! One of the girls wasn’t feeling her best earlier this week—she’s totally fine now—but it definitely made for a few long days of cuddles, thermometer checks, and not a lot of sleep. Somehow I still managed to sneak in a few house projects between playing nurse and making toast with the crusts cut off.
Big win: the dining room table is done! I painted it the softest creamy white and it completely transformed the space. I also ordered crown molding for the living room—next on the list! I swear every little update makes this house feel more like us.
Today the girls and I are prepping for Father’s Day. Sophie has decided we’re baking a cake—her idea, her recipe, and apparently I’m just the assistant. I’ll let you know how it turns out!
In the meantime, here are a few things I’ve been loving lately:
– The only cabinet cleaner that actually works I’ve tried them all, but this is the only one that cuts through the grime without leaving that sticky residue.
– This adorable sleep set – Lightweight, soft, and perfect for warm evenings with the windows open.
– A potential platter replacement – I chipped one of my favorite serving platters (ugh), but this one might be even prettier.
– Ticks are out in full force – I’ve found two on me in three days (yuck!). This [article] was super helpful and had a few tips I hadn’t heard before.
– The perfect white tank – Just the right weight, a high neckline (thank you!), and it holds its shape in the wash.
– This summer tote is a classic – Think effortlessly chic and very Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy..she famously carried one.
– Planning to make this for Father’s Day brunch – It’s simple, delicious, and always a crowd-pleaser.
Wishing you a weekend full of sunshine and strawberry shortcake (or chocolate cake, if Sophie has her way).
