Skin Care Routine || AM & PM

Cleanse

Repair & Prevent

Protect & Moisturize

Here is my current skin care regimen.  I am a little obsessed with caring for my skin and put way too much thought and energy into what products I use.  Although,  I must be honest,  I have no plans on changing my behavior ;)

I will start off by saying my skin is normal to dry and considered mature. I have fine lines and hyper pigmentation, and I'm prone to small blackheads.

Step One: Cleanse

Dermalogica Precleanse: I LOVE this product. A soothing oil cleanser that will break down make-up, sunscreen, and mascara leaving your skin very clean but won't strip your skin of its natural oils. Thankfully it's built for all skin types.  Apply to dry skin then add a little bit of water to finger tips,  massage (at this point I use the Mia Clarisonic) into  skin then rinse with lukewarm water.  I use this product AM and PM.

Bioglycolic Face Cleanser:  As the product's name states, this milky cleanser has glycolic acid which helps exfoliate dead skin cells (preventing blackheads) giving my skin a glow!  You will feel a slight stinging sensation when cleansing with this product which is normal, but do not use this product to remove eye makeup.  Ouch!  Bioglycolic Face Cleanser is paraben free and there is no need for toner with Jan Marini products.  I use this product in PM in combination with the Precleanser.

Step Two: Repair & Prevent

Age Intervention Retinol Plus:  I have been using this product for a little over three months now, and I am truly a fan.  See my review here.  Why a retinol?  It addresses fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture, and hyperpigmentation.  It basically increases cell turnover, which slows after the age of 30,  giving you a youthful glow.  Do not use this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding....hopefully I will have to give this product up in the Fall if all goes well :)  I use this product in the PM.  It is applied after cleaning.

Source Natural Skin Eternal:  I have been using this super moisturizing serum for eight years.  Never giving it up!  I was first drawn to this product because it contains C-Ester, and being a believer in the power of antioxidants, which protects your skin from free radicals, this serum is exactly what I wanted.  I use this product AM (after cleansing) and PM (after Age Intervention Retinol).

Step Three: Protect and Moisturize

29 by Lydia Mondavi Broad Spectrum SPF 30 D'Vine Day Cream:  It works.  It has a nice fragrance  and it's just moisturizing enough.  My makeup goes on smooth after applying which is a big thing for me.  The price point is good too:)  I apply this product in the AM.

Coconut Oil- It does a beautiful job moisturizing my skin while I sleep, and have been using this natural oil for six months now and I am very happy with the results.  I apply only in the PM.

P.S- Good news. No, GREAT news. The IVF is working. I am growing 6 little eggs and hopefully by next Tuesday they will be all ready to retrieve. We go in Sunday for another ultrasound...fingers crossed! I am so happy. This news makes all the painful test and injections , speaking of six which is the number of injections I give myself daily, completely worth it!!
